I registered for the Gobble Jog this afternoon. I'm not thinking I'll set any records, I just want to run the course under 30 minutes. I've been putting in the total miles, just not all at once. ;) If I register for the half marathon before January 1st it's only 60 bucks. I really have to set that in motion. At this point I'm 18 weeks away from the half which is plenty of time. I didn't exercise at all this weekend, and I still think my body's recovering a bit from the competition. It was only 16 days ago!!! Seems like a lifetime. I'm staying consistent with my training and still having some treats. My weight is only 5 pounds above show weight, which is really, really good.
So for today I did some sprints, functional training, about a mile of distance, hills and I lifted weights for 30 minutes- back and legs. I still haven't emailed SOS about my new plans. I still want the workouts because they're always fun and it's so nice having them delivered to me, but I'm still over the whole fitness competition thing. I want to stay fit and strong without being bulky. I carry a lot of muscle on my frame so I' don't want to build. I'm hoping for a 3 times per week program.
I may try and run 2 miles tonight in addition to this morning.
I'm working on a bunch of scarves lol. I'm thinking about hitting the LYS and leaving a card asking to trade out knitting lessons for personal training. :) Knitting is an addiction. I can't imagine what will happen when I progress beyond the scarf.
Went to see the Bee Movie with Xan yesterday. It was cute, not funny. I knitted my scarf and ate a twix. Xan kept saying we were on a "date". Too cute!
