I had a crappy sinus infection that lingered for about 2 weeks, followed by a really stiff back. I weigth trained, taught boot camps, but I didn't get in a good training run in a long time.
Today was my first day back at running, and let me tell you it SUCKED.
The weather didn't bother me, my body felt great, I was at the river so I had alot of beatiful trees and blue sky to look at- I was just slow. I felt as if I was plugging along @ 9 minute pace, however the Garmin told be between 10-11 minute pace. I started to doubt that I'd be able to complete the half in...get this...11 weeks. Dang.
I remembered a youtube commercial featuring Paula Radcliffe, the current world record holder in the marathon.

And then I found this.

Everyone has bad days, even the worlds' fastest marathoner. All you can do is look forward and think positively and let the bad day fade away into the past.
