Book Idea

Since I've decided to try out for derby, the personal trainer in me immediately starts to think about how I need to train in the gym differently, what kind of overall fitness routine I need to follow.
Then I looked on the rollercon site (a huge yearly derby convention) and noticed there are workshops for just about everything- but nothing about weight training/fitness.
Hmmmmmm
I could write guidelines about weight training for the sport, home training, boot camps, core trainiing, injury prehab, rehab, stretching, cardio cross training, diet, supplements, etc..
I know the first step is to get on the team. No wait- get my skates and gear!
This summer I'll have a lighter work schedule and this is something I could do while the boys are splashing around at the pool.

My current schedule for training is:
Monday AM boot camp, PM weights
Tuesday: Cardio (teaching kickboxing) will change to skating in the evening in 2 weeks
Wed: AM boot camp PM Weights
Thursday: Cardio, elliptical or another form. I'd like to add yoga or something like that
Friday: AM Bootcamp, Pm weights
Saturday or Sunday long skate, eventually practice.

I'm sure that was riveting!
