Is damn near impossible with a very stubborn 3 year old!
I'm trying to keep a positive attitude as my darling child screams himself hoarse.
First it was a blanket he wasn't using.
Then it was more screaming in time out because I put him in time out for screaming.
After screaming in my face for 5 minutes, he finally crawled onto the couch with me for a nap.
Woke himself up from the nap. Looked at me and said "NO WAY! Not anymore!" and began to scream again.
After 10 minutes of trying to find out what was wrong and offering him juice/snack/merecedes @ 16 I sent him back to his room.
I vaccuumed purely to drown out his screams.
More screaming.
Downstairs.
"I want clothes on. But no underwear"
'You have to wear underwear. See, Xan wears underwear and Mommy wears underwear'
"IIIII DON'T WAAAAAAANNNNT TOOOOOOOO" screaming again. Then he runs to his room and returns with a pair of clean drawers.
"I want shoes on"
'We're not leaving until about 5"
"AAAAAHHHHHH IIIII WANT SHOOOOOOOEEEEESSS OOOONNNNNN AAAAHHHHHHHHHH WAAAAAAHHH"
'Go to your room'
That was 10 minutes ago.
I'm trying to lighten up. On days like this I sit and wonder how the hell I'm going to do this for another 15 years.
I wonder if my ears will burst.
Or if his voice box will break.
Or if my liver can take another 15 years of abuse from all the wine this kid is responsible for me drinking.
