Addicted

I am sadly and pathetically addicted to Twilight. I read the entire book in one day. I was seriously considering leaving the house @ 8:30 in the middle of ANOTHER terrible lightening storm to get it. It's that good. Oh, the audience it's written for? Young adults. Of course.

As corny as it is, the way the author described teenage infatuation- I can look back and remember feeling exactly the same way about Jon. (minus the whole vampire thing) Loving somebody so much you're convinced it's not real. Afraid to close your eyes because you'll wake and it will all be over. I remember, as 21 year old, I made him promise me over and over he'd never leave me. Here I am, 13 years later, and I still have a little twinge of that fear. Appreciate each day, they seem to get shorter and shorter.

Because I planned on being a bit productive today, I've held off running out at 10AM when Borders opens to get the next one. I think I'll wait until dinner's in the oven! New Moon and Veganomicon. I'm sure I'll be MIA for a while with my nose stuck in a book.
