Out of Gas

Literally. There is no gas in metro Atlanta. I've got under 1/4 tank and I'm thinking I can make it to work and back tonight and tomorrow. Yesterday there were lines 25 cars long. People were fighting in the parking lot, one guy smashed anothers' windshield out when he snaked in front of him.

Ever watch this movie? It's Mad Max, Mel Gibson's breakout role. In a nutshell, it's about how Australia is facing a breakdown of civil order primarily due to widespread oil shortages.

Or worse, oil may become so expensive that the world would resemble the one in Blade Runner. The rich live hundreds of stories high and the poor walk dark, rain-soaked streets.

The next few weeks are going to be absolutely critical for our country. Bail outs of big businesses, spending $10 billion a month on another country when we can't even take care of our own.

I'm about to get a damn hybrid scooter, move up into the mountains away from society and start a farm.
