I have this bad habit of showing my ass in the gym. Not literally- I mean I get into a workout and the adrenaline is pumping and I'm loving the way I feel then BAM. Reality kicks me in the ass-or in my case- gives me a judo chop in the neck. The workout Monday was pretty hard. The shoulder press/squat followed by the sumo stiff legged deadlifts with high row totally jacked my neck. The renegade rows didn't help either. I rested Tuesday, iced stretched ibuprofened. So this morning I wake for my 28 degree (22 windchill) outdoor boot camp and my legs are so SORE from Monday. Sweet. My disc is starting to slip out and I'm feeling it in my neck, traps and shoulders. Shit. So I avoid any/all upper body stuff this morning. I was ok until the sprints. We did 4X125m. The last one I really dug down, opened the stride and tried to stretch out my sore legs. Legs are better. Neck is worse.
Dammit.
Today I'm hoping to finish this for my friend/babysitter's Christmas present.
She really wants to make it for herself but she's just starting out with crochet. I thought it'd be a nice surprise! I did about 6 rows while watching the boys run around Monkey Joe's.
I'm so glad my husband isn't working Th-Sun! I miss him so much. Our schedules are tough. One is walking out to go to work when the other is walking in from work. It's going to be nice being with the whole family.
I guess I won't be running the Gobble Jog tomorrow. :( I'll have to sleep in instead!
