I'm looking at a Fall marathon. I don't want to get hurt so I'll need to build my base nice and slow.
First goal is the
Country Music Half Marathonon April 25. I've never been to Memphis- I just gotta see Graceland! It's close enough to drive and the whole family can come for a little va-cay.
I'm using a runnersworld.com Smart Coach schedule right now and it's very doable. Today I ran two miles on the dreaded treadmill in the WRONG shoes. I had a break between clients and I wanted to get it in! The pace suggested 11:58/mile but I felt like I was just walking fast so I did about 11/mile. :) I do need to run a 5K and get a time to base my training off of. There's a fast one next weekend. They give out Icees at the end.:P
