I survived hosting my first Thanksgiving. I made 3 casseroles and used close to 1 pound of butter. (light butter!) I also made 2 apple pies, 5 dozen cookies, 1 pumpkin loaf, mashed potatoes, pierogies, and stuffing!

Anew
Something clicked in me this past week. I have the fire for training again. Not so much in the gym/crossfit, but just overall fitness. I managed to get some form of exercise in every day minus Wed- but I did stand for close to 8 hours cooking- and I'm really enjoying it. So much of my life was based on training and eating a certain way I discounted other forms of exercise. I also put so much stupid pressure on myself---if I wasn't lifting "x" amount of weight why bother? Or if I failed to maintain 10 minutes per mile running what's the point? So I decided to do a little of everything this week. Monday I did an hour of circuit training thanks to On Demand cable. Some of it was pretty darn hard! Tuesday was boot camp and a little on demand, like 20 minutes I think. Wednesday was 8 hours of standing in my kitchen cooking. Thursday I ran 4 miles, only stopping for a walk one time. Friday I ran 6.1 miles- stopping for 3 minutes, 1 minute and then about 30 seconds. Each run I averaged about 11:20/mile. I felt so good after both runs. I slept sounder, I was much calmer and I just feel better. My shoulder/traps were fine and almost seemed to improve as the run went on. SO happy with myself.
