Update

Things have been really fabulous for little ol' me. I was feeling stressed about work, stressed about the state of my family's finances, etc. I've been personal training for 11 years, an eternity in the business, and I was incredibly burnt out. My clients were dropping due to many reasons...and you can't really get upset about it. Life happens. People get sick, depressed, lose their jobs etc. I decided to make a change and find a job with little to no stress about getting a paycheck. I wanted an old-fashioned job: Here's your schedule and Here's your check. The end. A Playball coaching position came up on Craigslist in December and they never returned my inquiry. On a whim I looked it up again in February and it was there again! They contacted me, interviewed me on Tuesday, Thursday I was observing the classroom and by Friday I was given all the materials to teach my own classes. I trained the following week and by Friday I taught alone and was being observed by 2 of the 3 partners. I was given my own schedule and started this week!

It's the most amazing company and the BEST people to work for. They give me everything- uniforms, materials, bags, equipment, office supplies----you name it. And they really are the nicest people. They treat me with respect yet remain straight forward, which is something new for this old gal. I love the kids, I love traveling to a new location every day. I'm really busy, adding about 13 hours a week to my schedule not including drive time, but I love it. I'm sure I'll need to adjust but once I get used to not having my afternoon nap I'll be ok.
