This little guy is in our pond. I took it during the snow 'storm' on Saturday!
Well, I haven't ran beyond bootcamp in a long time. Sinus infections really piss me off. I get at least one a year, and I'm guessing a trip to the EENT dude is in order. Just what I want, a camera shoved up my nose. Now that I think about it, I'd rather have it up my nose than any other entrance into my body. I gained some weight back (I've said it before, I'm the only person to gain weight when they're sick) and I've decided to bail out on the 5K this weekend. It's a fast one, and I know a slow time on a fast course will not make me feel any better.
I've got a 10K February 9, a nice flat one along the Chattahoochee River. I'm using it as a training run, no delusions of super fast time here!
The ING GA Half marathon is 10 weeks away. If I can stay healthy I'll be fine. I don't want to give up. It's too easy to say "I've been sick, I'm tired, I'm too busy, blah blah blah".
There are a few runners' blogs I read, and I came across a link to Ryan Hall's blog http://www.thefinalsprint.com/2008/01/ryan-hall-perseverance-elite-athlete-blog-entry-1/

So here goes it. 2 miles tomorrow, tempo on Thurs (5 total) 2 on Friday and 7 on Saturday. Add in 2-3 weight training sessions + 3 boot camps I do with class + teaching 7 classes a week.
Bring it! I'm not regretting a damn thing!
