Different View

I'm so happy! We (Jon and I) have decided that I'm going to work less, especially at night. I really hate not being home when they go to bed, not eating dinner together, not seeing Jon at night. I like cooking and getting the boys ready for bed. I like doing Mom stuff. I like it a whole lot more than babysitting some of the adults I have! A few things brought it about.
For starters, the church has decided to cancel the class I've been teaching. Lack of interest due to bad timing. It's actually fine with me, that means I can get home before Xan gets off to school! Hooray!
I went through a big blah period. For lack of a better word- blah. My hamstring still hurts so I've shelved the half marathon for now. I'm transitioning into 'normal' exercise. Competing in figure meant training 6-7 days a week, sometimes 2 times a day with high intensity. Eating every 3 hours- and eating things you didn't really want. I'm glad that's over. Yes I'm bigger. Yes I've lost my definition. Honestly I don't care. I still look and feel fit which trumps them all.
The blah were a result of my constant running back and forth to work. For example,
Mondays: Wake @ 4:45AM
5:30am teach boot camp
6:45am teach at the church
8-10 train clients, between 5-7 of them
10-11:30 run errands, exercise myself, take a power nap.
11:30 Xavier comes home from sitter
11:30-4:30 Mom stuff, cooking, cleaning, homework, etc
4:30 back to work
5-8 train clients, teach bootcamp
Sometimes I have to go to the store after work, so I'm getting in at about 8:30. My kids are either asleep already or on their way. Then I eat, shower, etc and then it's almost 10 and the day is done.
I'd rather be home baking cookies. Seriously. Tonight I cancelled boot camp because it's going to be too cold (22!) and I'm going to make some oatmeal raisin cookies. I'm going to knit, (cause I can now!booyah!) Make some potato salad, veggie hotdogs and corn on the cob. It's so cold outside I want to make it taste like summer!
Then I'm going to read through some old cookbooks and plan out my menus for the family for the week! That's MY idea of a good time!
