Now I'm bitter.

This is Xan. He is not amused.

When my husband goes out of town (AKA abandoning me with 2 stinky boys) I've found the little animals are much easier to handle if they're busy. Not just "Here, let's paint a picture!" busy but in the car, take a drive, see something new busy.

Which sucks if you're me. And yes, it does.

We had plans- Today was the park after school, then eat pizza for dinner, make a cake for the Dojo's party tomorrow and watch a movie.

So my sitter can't stay as late as I need her to. I can't go to the store (which SUCKS) and she brings an almost asleep, incredibly shitty Xavier home. The afternoon consists of me trying to get the boy to sleep with me on the couch (of course he was up tossing and turning and talking and trying to stick his little feet between my legs and scratching me with his jacked up toenails from 2-4am while husband slept and readied himself for the trip) Xan comes home and it's about to rain- no park. We go to Wal-Mart for groceries, a movie, etc.
Pizza, cake, movie, great.
Email, followed by a phone call from the Dojo. "Due to an unforeseen circumstance, the anniversary party is cancelled."

Explain "unforeseen circumstance" to somebody who still believes in the tooth fairy.

He bursts into tears. Even the promise of ninja cake for breakfast doesn't help.

Inside I'm burning with a revenge plot against my husband. It's his fault, I haven't found a semi-logical way to pin it on him yet- but it is his fault!

Xan shuts down as I rattle off things we can do.
"Yellow River Game Ranch"
-BORING
"Atlanta Children's Museum"
-STUPID
"Center for Puppetry arts"
-BABY STUFF
"Let's do something fun downtown"
- I don't like downtown.

So I have to launch the "You better change you attitude" speech. I'm so over it I'm ready to cry too. A long week at work preceded by a long weekend and now this crap. Ugh.

We agreed to visiting the World of Coke. http://www.worldofcoca-cola.com/
Right smack dab in the middle of downtown. I guess we'll go to the Varsity http://www.thevarsity.com and eat in my car while we're at it. Then there was the promise of Chuck E. FREAKING Cheese for Saturday night. I may have to delay that trip to Sunday. UGH UGH UGH.

All of my clients keep telling me I should take a trip too. I'm researching a company called Girlfriend Getaways...

My client Anna just got engaged! Hooray!!!!!!
