Booyah!

Today I made it to the gym for a weight training session. I've been consistently getting in 2 sessions a week, but lately I've gotten in the 3rd I really need. I've decided to make Saturdays my 'heavier' days, focusing on legs and other compound powerlifting type movements. The other days are lighter legs and more upper body. Since I'm not trying to look like a man I've lightened up the weights and increased the reps on the other days. Plus boot camp...sheesh!
Squat:
1X8@ 45 (warm-up)
1X6 @95 (warm up)
1X@6@135 (still warming up to working weight)
2X6@ 155 Parallel, pausing on the bottom
1X6@ 165 Best in a while! My wrists and shoulders hurt more than the legs.
-Shoulder Press 3X12@ 20's. ss 3X12 Front alternating lunges
-Hamstring curls 3X12@50 ss Decline push ups 3X10
-One arm rows 3X12@35. (Long break in the middle of this set. Some guy complimented me on my weight loss....didn't realize the chub I gained after the last show. Hooray!)
-Leg extensions. 3X15@70. Toes straight, toes in toes out.
20 minutes on elliptical, that's the limit for me doing cardio inside. I crack up.

A different Janis would have decided to compete again. If I'm being honest-something new for me ha ha- I've kicked it around.

Whatever clicked with me in November during the my "pro figure debut" stays strong.
I enjoy working out, looking and feeling fit. I do NOT enjoy the diet. Period. I eat clean all week long, and starting Friday night with pizza I enjoy my food over the weekend.


It was with that in mind the boys and I went to McDonalds after my sweaty workout and chowed down on a double cheeseburger.
