Funny, eh?

Today I ran all over the place. Work @ 7, but I woke up about 5:45 to make lunch for Xavier who had camp today. At 8:30 I left work, went to Wal-Mart and bought Xan the new Indy Legos game he's been excited about since February.

Dropped that at the house, dug out my blood sugar monitor for my type I diabetic client because his broke. Swing by the pool (Xan at swim team with sitter) and get Xavier, bring Xav to camp. Go back to work. Whew! It's only 9:50AM!

I decide to walk to the 2 banks instead of drive. They're only about 1.5 miles round trip away. I slap on my iPod and go. It's hot as hell out- heat index is 90! I am in line at one of the banks and I hear a giggle. I turn around and it's a friend and fellow instructor. I love her- she's a really sweet soul. She says "Look at you- your hair, your get up. You look so funny!"

Funny? Like a clown? When I got dressed today and went to work I was thinking more like Funky. Cute. I know she meant it with absolutely NO harm. I tell her "you wish you had the guts!" She just smiled and said "Ohhh Janis!"

Today when I knelt down on the floor to hug Xavier goodbye, one of the little girls came up to me fascinated with my earrings. She asked if she could touch them (of course!) and said she likes Hello Kitty. Her Mom said she was amazed she spoke to me because she's terribly shy.
I'll take that kind of approval over an adult any day!
