Swim Meet

Xan had his first swim meet ever today. Actually, he had his first contest, athletic or otherwise today. I'm proud beyond words. He kept saying "I want to do a good job for you Mom." I told him I wanted him to do his best, and finish with a smile on his face. I told him it was most important to be proud of himself!

Somebody false started so he's really watching the starter. Ugh....I am about to throw up at this point. Seriously- it was the craziest thing I've ever felt.

25 meters is a looooong way. And I'm crying like a big baby. Thank goodness for big, fabulous sunglasses.

4th place dude! Xan said "Mom I want to swim again! Can I do swim team next year? I love it!" What a great attitude. I was worried he'd cry because he came in last in his heat. Nope. Xan was smiling and wanting more. I love that kid.

Xavier always brings his special kind of joy to all things.

For times like this, all Moms need to keep a flask on their person. For real.
