Nature's alarm clock

We always throw food past its prime out for the animals. We have had a lot of squirrels and different birds, a few opossums and even 2 frogs in our pond. Perhaps they're really enjoying the bird seed with corn and peanuts in it, or today they're giving a little back.

One of my favorite things about Xavier being in school is lunch bunch. No, it's not just the extra 2 hours of peace- it's that coveted nap I sneak in. After meeting Xan for lunch I had 40 minutes to snooze. I looked outside through the skylight and though "I need to wake up by 1:30". At 1:28 the crows were making a terrible fuss. Yelling at something- all I could gather was the FedEx dude. They didn't stop until I went out the front door and looked around. I guess it was crow for "Wake your ass up! You said 12:30!" Sometimes all you have to do is ask Mother Nature, she's listening!
