2008 in review.

2008 is over and good riddance! My boys turned 8 and 4, my husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, and I entered my mid 30's. So- in bullet form I give you:

* January 2008 began with a nagging high hamstring injury while trying to train for a half marathon. We had snow, I had ANOTHER sinus infection, I came to terms with my grey hair, and the fiance of a bodybuilding friend was raped and murdered by a (caught!) serial killer.

* February was across the board. My husband turned 38. I started to realize I wasn't going to run the half, continued to find a 'normal' training schedule, Xavier was sick, my Mom called me while drunk and through me for a loop, I knitted, baked, crocheted and kicked butts.

*March- my husband went on a hiking trip with his buddies, leaving me with the kids for 4 days/3 nights alone. I was pretty mad. I launched my website, the Easter bunny came, we had tornadoes, my job wore on my nerves, we had went to a pirate party.

* APril Lucky died, I went to an open skate for derby, thought about competing (again) tried to deal with my anger issues, went on a little trip to the mountains with the boys and road a train, we played in the mud, I entertained (alone again!) my boys over spring break with the Georgia Aquarium, continued to let go of the former body builder, hated everyone around me lol.

* May School ended and swim team began. I continued to hate East Cobb and the MomBots that live here, annoyed by people in the gym, Sara got married! My husband pulled a Jesse James, Mothers' Day was wonderful, I was kicked out of the park, worked a LOT, watched Scooby Doo, skated, and was told by Xavier he has a hole in his pee pee.

* June Xan completed his first EVER athletic event. He came in 4th for swimming! Yayayay! I tried to do too much as usual, Xan lost his front tooth!!! I bought Twilight (didn't start reading it though) had several tete-a-tetes with Xavier, was shown why 99% of people suck over and over, got a tat and turned 34! I made peach cobbler, was tagged twice, I crocheted, crocheted, made a lot of cookies, and watched Xan get his very first trophey with his name on it. And a first place ribbon. Xan lost another tooth.

* July was fireworks, blueberry picking, annoying relatives, house was struck by lightening, crocheting, lots of exercise, I had issues with....something....I worked with the most miserably spoilt brats I've ever met. Kim and Jay left.

*August ate vegan, became addicted to Twilight series, Xan began 2nd grade, Finished Twilight series, tried my best to deal with Xavier, had political views, Olympic fever and discovered I never, ever want to go on a motion simulator again.

* September Xan turned 8 complete with a new bad attitude, I struggled with my parenting, ate vegan, worked out hard, found out Susan had cancer, hurt my neck, Had a gas shortage in GA, came off prednisone (YUCK!) had a sick Xavier on the way home from pumpkin patch, fell in love with my husband all over again.

* October was 10 years with Jon and an unexpected anniversary, painting dining room, getting ready for Halloween party. Xavier Turned 4 and had a party at Chuck E. Dealt with neck. I continued to try to entertain my boys alone.

* November Obama began the prez, I tried to lift weights again, broke up with my hairdresser, lots of boot camp, discovered true blood, had recurring neck issues, saw Twilight and died my hair red.

* December decided to go back to school, had some down time, discovered Sookie Stackhouse, saw Santa, had a sick kid again, Xmas came with the wii, I got bigger, got sick, and had an epiphany. :)
