The classics.

I zipped through the Sookie Stackhouse series in about 10 days- all but one book is left. (I thought I needed a little break from her world) Another blogger,
Melicous is such a huge fan of Jane Eyre I thought I should give it a try. In my senior AP English class, the one I almost failed, I had a really hard time reading anything.Could have been all of the other things I had on my plate at that age. Senior year in high school is a mystery to me, a very stressful and frightening time in my life. Anyway, reading a book that was #1 required #2 over 500 pages long and #3 OLD was not something I was about to do.

Boy did I miss out.

I'm only on chapter 12, but reading about Jane's cruel childhood struck a chord in me. I can remember knowing things were wrong at a very young age. I remember thinking that my parents weren't right just because of their age or their 'title' of parent. I can remember telling my Dad to stick it as little Jane did to Mrs.Reed. When Jane is forced to stand on the stool in front of the entire school she does it bravely, but she crumbles to a pile of hysterical tears when it's done. That was me. I'd be the strong girl doing so well despite my circumstances only to go home and cry myself to sleep every night.

I'm so excited to see what's next for Jane!

Get out of my head! I just finished the latest SS book, sadly I don't think the series is done... but I was thinking about reading a classic next. Actually, trying Jane Eyre. I was homeschooled my senior year, so I missed out on all the books.
