Another one bites the dust

I finished From dead to Worse in a few hours last night. I loved it- full of action, drama, weirdness, etc. My only gripe was the lack of nookie for Sookie! Now I'm forced to wait until May 2009 for the next installment. Boo hiss.

I bought some red and white yarn yesterday for Valentines' Day stuff. I was planning on making a quick little skinny scarf for 2 of my clients' daughters with that pretty purple I made the v-stitch scarf with. BUT- when I asked if they liked purple, she said she has banned purple from her house. Huh? Yup, she's (the mom) over purple and the girls can't have any more purple in the house. I can only imagine what else she tries to control. Any whoo- I was trying to find some sort of varigated yarn with blues and pinks but found nothing I really like. I'm thinking about making them red and white striped skinny scarfs. I also bought DPN's so I can attempt a knitted hat. :) I grabbed some bulky boulce-type yarn and a skein of self striping yarn in 'high sierra' that will look good as a pillow. I was so proud I left with a bill under $20!

I'm heading out for a walk. I wanted to do something yesterday, but I ended up watching the 1941 version of Jane Eyre I DVR'd with the boys in my bed while finishing up the purple scarf. :) I needed a day of rest, this week was hard!
