Whoop whoop!

This is from my Garmin. I did just over 4 and a half miles today-sans iPod thank-you-very-much-dear-husband- and it was great. I didn't have a specific goal, I just set out to burn off some stress and calories. I walked when my hr climbed above 170 (still worried about healing after the sinus infection) I didn't try to keep a pace, I didn't have any time/distance goal. I just went for a run. I chose a route I'd never done, and estimated it between 4 and 5 miles. I forgot how much I enjoyed running. I need to get out there more often.

On a strange note, there were some crazy things on the side of the road today. I ran along the grass off a very busy road (3 lanes/side boulevard in middle) and I saw so many random items. Several boxes of cigarettes/chewing tobacco. A few empty bottles of liquor. A plaid sofa cushion. A box that had Estee Lauder perfume in it. Soccer ball. Christmas tree. Baby pool. And of course- one shoe. Always just one damned shoe. I imagine people riding down the road with their foot hanging out the window and it falls off. But why would you ride with your foot out the window? All of this crap in about a 1/2 mile stretch. Somebody needs to adopt that highway quick!
