Torture!

I've said before how much I DESPISE working back. I'm usually in the worst mood afterwards-or during- days that are heavy back workouts. Yesterday, as I did crossfit's "Barbara" I was not happy as I began each set with 20 pullups. Mind you- I do them all with a rubber band or assisst machine- I hate them with such a passion I sometimes think I need medication. The last set was so horrible I would have rather pulled my spleen out my navel. But I did it!

This morning's boot camp was the usual warmup, however not for me. There was a huge wreck on the main road off my house and the cars were backed up. Only I could find a wreck @ 5:55am! By the time I turned around and went the back way it was 6:09! Luckily the ladies headed out without me.

I started adding this in about 2 weeks ago: 20 push-ups 30 lunges 40 crunches 50 squats. Normally I do those exercises throughout. Now we do it all at once. This week we're doing 2 sets. I add them after agility drills/striders and sprints.

side squat the hill holding 10# db X2 DB rows in a lunge position, shoulder press throw/catch with hill sprints and quick run around parking lot.

Didn't run later today. My body is hurting and not recovering- not to mention my sleep has been terrible- which is a red flag for rest. :) It was nice to wear a pair of jeans all day and no spandex!

I made the best dinner- roasted vegetables with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh rosemary and fresh thyme. I also made some lentils that I put on the bottom of the plate before scooping the veg on top. Lentils are on of the best things you can eat- loaded with fiber- 16 grams per cup- almost no fat and tons of protein (17 grams!)it's a perfect food. It's also high in folate, iron and tryptophan. :)

Tomorrow's WOD is Clean and Jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps. I swear somebody at the mothership has a love affair with the number 7!!!!!!!
