I've been ass high in drama. My Mom is very ill and she's been in the ICU for a week. Of course, my "family" back home decided to let me know on Tuesday, almost a full week after she'd been admitted. She's very ill and things aren't looking too good. At least- what I know of it. See, my sister is my Mother's health care proxy. That means she gets to make decisions for my Mom, including who knows what about her. So- after a huge fight between the two of us, I am no longer able to call the hospital and find out if my Mother is ok- or even ALIVE. I live 850 miles away and my hands are tied. Yep. If I fly up there, I'm not going to be able to see her. My sister, pregnant and sober for the first time in at least 12 years, has lost her freaking mind. She will not talk to me, and I'm not able to call my Mom because she's unable to speak. My Dad told me he'll talk to my sister one more time, after that he's done with this drama.
On my own, again.
In times of crisis, true character is revealed.
I am completely beside myself. Please pray for my Mom and my sister. This is the most excruciating torture I've ever been through, and I wish this on nobody.

Oh you poor thing! My prayers are definitely going out for you and your mother. I can't believe your sister would be that cold to you. That's totally the pits.
[Huge Hugs!]
Wow! Regardless of what has happened in the past, I can't believe your Sister would deprive your Mom of speaking to one of her children knowing that she may not be here very much longer. I will pray for you and your Mom.
