Something new

Soooo I'm off the antibiotics and feeling a spring in my step again. I'm still so incredibly tired by 11:30-12 noon it's unbearable. I started thinking about my food choices lately- sugar, fat, caffeine, processed, alcohol- CRAP! Put crap in and expect to feel well? DUH. I also started thinking about my training times. Maybe working out so intensely so early is causing the fatigue. I'm going to flip flop crossfit to evening for 2 weeks and see if there's a difference. Boot camp 3x's a week and Crossfit 2x's a week. Once a week I'm going to do a long cardio- either walking or running. My boot camp is full of running/sprinting and crossfit-like circuits anyway. :)

Starting with Weight Watchers today. Had the start of a blood sugar crash after coffee + almond milk, carbmaster yogurt, 4 strawberries and 1/3cup high fiber cereal. Instead of cramming a jar of peanut butter down my face I had 1/2 a chicken breast and a hardboiled egg. Blood sugar's back to normal and I feel more better. 71/2 points seems like a lot of breakfast, but it's all good. ;)

Also kicking the booze to the curb. Jon and I have been sitting on the deck every evening with a little fire in the chiminea and the tiki torches lit. (mosquitoes in my backyard are so big you could put a saddle on them) He'll pour me a glass of wine, one goes to two....next thing I know I've drank 2/3 of a bottle in 2 hours! Not good! So bye bye booze. Bad for your body, doesn't help with sleep and way too many calories.

Caffeine. One cup in the morning and maybe a coke zero in the afternoon, then it's decaf.

I was in a terrible cycle- Coffee X 2 in the morning followed by too much sugar, crashing at noon leading to more sugar/caffeine, eating crap when blood sugar dips, then alcohol to help me sleep leading to more crap food. UGH. Can't wait to feel better. :)
