Please watch "I am an animal, the story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA". The link above is just a trailer.
If you do get a chance to catch it on HBO on demand or buy in on DVD in January, be warned.
It is extremely graphic.
If you don't think about what you're putting into your gut, or on your face, or on your bodies you really, really need to. There are so few people that are even AWARE that the neat little package your dinner came in was once a living, breathing animal. It was probably force fed, had its' beaks ripped off, or lived its entire life in a small crate living in filth while being beaten and tortured. Have you ever yelled at your dog? Doesn't it run and hide? How about smacked your dog on the ass with a wadded up paper? Well imagine your dog being tested on by burning, breaking its' leg to see how it heals while being restrained, having its eyes held open (like A Clockwork Orange) while having hairspray sprayed in his face.... think
THINK before you eat. Before you throw that make-up in your cart. Before you grab that laundry detergent. THINK before you buy that fur trimmed coat. Please. Think.
Think about all the turkeys killed today.
Think about that life. My husband was in a discussion with somebody before about a bug he was saving and putting outside.
"It's just a bug, who cares?"
My husband "Tell that to the bug"
