This is the next project on the hook. It's the sweet pea shawl from The Happy Hooker:
It's for a client of mine, and I can't wait to give it to her. I'm using bamboo yarn, it's so soft and perfect for her because she has really bad allergies. I hope she likes it!
It's for a client of mine, and I can't wait to give it to her. I'm using bamboo yarn, it's so soft and perfect for her because she has really bad allergies. I hope she likes it!I weight trained yesterday, and I'm amazed at how little strength I've lost. I do want to lose a little upperbody size, but there I was doing a 60 pound push press for 8 reps. Duh! What I should do is a circuit 2 times a week, but once I get in there it's hard for me to hold back.
I also ran yesterday at the gym, about 1.25 miles before I had to bail out and hop on the elliptical. My hamstring is still hurting. I maintained 9:15 pace and didn't feel fatigue, which leads me to believe once this nagging thing is gone I'll be able to train at a fast pace (which means race faster). I'm so unsure about the half marathon. I think I'm going to do it, even if I walk a mile/run a mile just for the 'experience'. Today's run will be the decision maker. If I can complete 6 miles without hobbling home I'll sign up next week. Wish me luck!
Xavier finally had a haircut yesterday. He looks so adorable, but I miss his rockstar hair.
Xan and I had a date. We went to Applebee's. We shared the chocolate desert with warm chocolate cake filled with a hot fudge center and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I showed Xan how to mix the hot cake with the ice cream. He took a bite and said "There's a war going on in my mouth! The hot and the cold are fighting!"
