I did the treadmill today. I ended up running 2.75 @ 10 minute pace before a mystery pain in my abs forced me off. I wanted to complete 5, but after 8 minutes of pain and no end in sight I hopped off and did 1.25 on the elliptical for a total of 4 miles. My hamstring felt 100%! It's a little tight now, about 3 hours later, but nothing that I wouldn't expect from a normal run. So YAY ME!
The half marathon still looms over me. It's 5 weeks 4 days away. Maybe I'll committ myself to walk/run. I wanted a good time. Instead I think I'll focus on HAVING a GOOD time!
Tomorrow is boot camp and strength training
Thursday is another run (4 hopefully)with a yoga session in there. I need to get back into that, my body needs the quiet.
Friday is bootcamp and circuit training/elliptical
Sat- easy 3-4, yoga
Sunday- Long. I really, really need to run at least 6. I may go to the river.
My friend Myra gave me her Mom's unfinished projects yesterday. I finished a beautiful white filet afghan, and there are about a million white fillet squares that I'm assuming are part of another blanket. I'm going to sew them together with pink yarn and then put a pink edging on it. I may add a cross stitch style daisy on the center and give it to Xan's teacher for a baby gift. I'm so excited by all the new YARN!
