It's only about 5 miles away and something we've been meaning to do forever!
First stop:Bulloch Hall

Many sightings of a family looking out of the attic window. Another story was from an employee of the museum (that's what it is today) having the lights turned off and candles blown out on their own.
To the left of the building, Jon and I heard something, probably an animal moving. Creepy!
If you look to the right of the picture you see little orbs. Cool.
Founders Cemetary This place started to creep me out. Stories of Confederate soliders being accidentally discovered by surrounding homeowners doing renovations, at least another mile of unmarked graves, most of the dead buried were that of children...yuck.

This tree is so huge and so beautiful. Can't imagine all the things it's seen. Notice the little orbs.

Some of the gravestones, big ol' orb there.
That's no ghost, just my old man. :)
THe Bricks This place has been many things. It was originally the home to many of the workers of Roswell Mill. The mill produced Roswell Gray that was used by confederate troops (I think...I'm a Yankee). When the men were called to fight in the Civil war the women and children were forced to work. Many died or were wounded. Screams are heard to this day. The same women and children were charged with treason by Sherman and forced to Marietta (about 15 miles) seperated from their families and put on trains North. Many were sexually assaulted on the way.
The Bricks became a makeshift hospital for Sherman. Later it became a banquet hall with many sighting and experiences and today they are really expensive (but nice) town houses. There is supposidely a little girl in a polka dot dress who haunts this place. Many have seen her and there is a video taken that SUPPOSSEDLY shows the little girl in the window. Can't wait to see it.
One crummy picture....at this point my camera's batteries died. They were new.
This next place made me panic like crazy. At one point I honestly felt like leaving.
I would have taken more pictures but my batteries were dying. Really creepy. They call this place "the creepy house". It's an empty house in the heart of a thriving downtown. Everyone who's attempted to have a business there leaves in less than 3 months. They all swear to be terrorized by an old women in a bonnet, an old man who is shirtless, bald, no top teeth, drunk and boligerant. They also hear a little girl screaming for help. Apparently it was the home of the town executioner back in the 1800's. No thanks. Next to it is a restaurant. Nobody knows what happened for sure, but whoever was there last left it ready for dinner. The tables are set, sugar packets on the tables and 8 years of dust on everything. Nobody knows what happened.
Check out the orbs all over this picture. And to prove it's not just spots on my camera, here's a picture of the front of the house, then my camera died.
The tour concluded in Roswell square, on a beautiful white gazebo. The same gazebo many people are married on every year. The same place where the tree stood that once hung people....mwahahahahaha!

The orbs in the pics are pretty FREAKY! You are brave! I'd be afraid to go to those places for fear a hitch hicking ghost would take a ride home with me. Clearly the kids and I have been talking about Disneyland and the Haunted House why too much! :)
That stuff is freaky! But I do believe it. I'm such a chicken that I let my son sleep in my bed the other night because I was scared ghosts were going to be looming over him. I watched some TV show that freaked me out and Rick thinks I'm crazy.
