Walk this way....

I've been walking like a fool again. 4 miles yesterday, 4.5 today. I maintained a 13:30 pace, which felt surprisingly easy. I looked up the Walking club of Georgia- let me just say I'm about 25 years younger than anyone they have pictured on their site. A long, long time ago I took a 'race walk lesson'. The man lived in my neighborhood, although it was on the very far side. He was....70? Lol. I remember I walked 9 miles and I was sore as shit the next day.

The good news is my neck pain is down 50% from yesterday. As I was walking today I decided to try and run, just for maybe a half mile. As soon as I did I felt pain in my knee and electric shocks in my neck. Freaking A.

Racewalking burns a ton of calories.

It's very low impact.

There are opportunities for competition. (I can't help it. I'm a freaking athlete at heart!)

It's challenging, it's fun.

Thing is-

You look like a damn fool.

Will I be forced to racewalk before the dawn to save myself humiliation? Train at a remote location? Wear a mask?

Or could I possibly make something this ridiculous look cool? :P

Lol I can't help but laugh because I know I looked like a damn fool doing just this thing for the half marathon this summer. Let me tell you I was so sore the next day it hurt to do any and everything. Walking to eating burned like hell. It was good times!
