Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

I love love love Lance Armstrong. An amazing athlete, a cancer survivor turned one of the loudest voices in the fight against cancer. The fact that at 38, he comes out of retirement to push his team mate to win the TDF and place third himself is AMAZING.

Today, as I hobble through my day after getting my butt beat last night and again this morning @ boot camp, I'll think about that quote. The pain I'm in feels way better than quitting!
