What we need is a plan

Urban gets Diesel's 30 day Paleo challenge

I've had my "try" at Paleo and let's say I didn't give it 100%. Due to some serious blood sugar crashes over the past 2 weeks, I've been doing a lot of research. I've found my diet effects my hormone levels which greatly effect hypoglycemia. During different points in my cycle, I'm craving more sugar or salt or fat or caffiene followed by horrific crashes. My mood is...sour. Rollercoaster of sugar crash caffiene crash anger/sadness/madness high fat food feel terrible alcohol crash.

Enough already.

The diet that is suggested for hypoglycemia is low carb, high protein and moderate fat. Equal, diet soda is a no no. Artificial sweeteners can create insulin spikes via signals between the taste buds and organs such as the pancreas and the brain. Furthermore, the body is wired in ways that allow some people to get insulin spikes just by looking at pictures of food. (Rob Wolf, paleo guru)

The holiday season isn't the optimal time to start such craziness- especially with my love of baking. I'm taking baby steps towards this-

trying to wean off caffiene (sob sob sob) which is on day 3. Still having coffee but more decaf.

Less alcohol. blargh. Going to a holiday party and I'm choosing to have a glass or two then. For right now I'm a weekends only drinker.

Cutting out the starch. I know this will instantly help me. It always does. I love it so and I always find myself in the throws of french bread and cheese passion within a week.

Backing off sugar and artificial sweeteners. Good bye crystal light. Goodbye candy. I'll miss you!

I had boot camp this morning, we did a few hill repeats with hill lunges. I'm going to do a crossfit workout after I work today. Split Jerk 1X7sets. Probably with just the bar...gotta watch my shoulder/neck until I get in for an ART session...
Wow just rambling along here! Time for work!
